Shootings in Abilene
Abilene Police made several arrests this week after shooting erupted three times - twice on Burger Street in north Abilene and once on Woodard Street in south Abilene. Two people were sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after the first shooting. No one was injured in the second and third shootings.

A youth complex isn't going to make drug dealers stop shooting, but it will give them somewhere to find groups of young people in need of attention, hence the new members.
Everyone I have ever known in Abilene that has been busted on firearms or drug charges, is out running the streets right now. God forbid if I was to shoplift a damn pack of gum, I would rot in jail forever. You are better of being a dope dealer, with connections in this town than an honest, bill paying, WORKING for a check person!
