Liberty Rides

On Sunday, July 20, 2008, the parents of 17-year-old Russell McPherson, a member of the Liberty County Rebel Riders competing in the Texas State 4-H Horse Show at the Taylor County Expo Center, were killed in an accident on an I-20 access road. Despite the tragic loss of his parents, Gary and Lisa McPherson, Russell decided to compete with his teammates.
