First, let me say I am not pointing fingers or protecting anyone, just speaking from personal experince and opinion. With that said....

I believe a prospective owner should have to prove his/her competence when wanting to own a "fighting" breed of dog and possibly have to carry some additional form of liability insurance. They should go thru a testing similar to qualifying a service dog. If you have never seen this done, it is a real world test of a handler and his/her ability to maintain control over their animal and can be facinating to watch. You have to go thru drivers testing to get a drivers license, right? Or carry a concealed handgun?

Almost ANY dog can be controlled...it's up to the human. If you have ever watched a dog training session closely, there is much more human training going on. But a weak willed or unknowing human can lose control of even the most docile animal.

I have personally seen small breeds like dachshunds, chihuahuas, even toys (the worst) manipulate their owners and dominate dogs ten times their size. But because they are "cute" they can show as much dominance as they want without being corrected. At dog parks, I have witnessed the large dogs being punished for a fight instigated by a small breed dog. But since size usually wins, the big dog got the blame.

Of course there are always exceptions to any rule, but a blanket policy of banning and euthenasia is a little over the top.

Just my "2 bits".

Don't get too used to low gas prices. My trick knee is telling me the prices will begin rising after the presidential election is over. How long can the gas giants sell gas at these prices and still make billions in profit?

It would be nice to be able to vote for who we wanted instead of having to play the "Pick-A-Party" game. What if I I liked one presedential candidate, but the other vp candidate? Why can't I mix and match? Just an observation....not trying to start trouble.
