Mr. Campos, your statement (and what it infers): "Thus a teenage Palestinian unaffiliated with any group who tries to run down Israeli soldiers with a car (and is shot and killed) is a terrorist, but a fighter pilot who drops bombs that he knows to a moral certainty will kill civilians is carrying out a legitimate military mission" makes me want to punch you in the mouth.
However, in the spirit of civility, I won't (plus, it's a long drive to Colorado). Also, I won't state what I really feel so this post won't be deemed 'offensive.'

Pssst (whispering as quietly as possible)...the dirty little secret is that Wylie fans (and Cooper also!) saw and experienced the stadium and pressbox at the new Aledo stadium in November and now just have to have one also!
I expect in the near future AISD will be discussing funding for a new high-rise glass-enclosed and climate-controlled pressbox also...Shhh!

Undefeated Utes should be #1!!! Just kidding. And for some more twisted BCS logic--I submit that Ol' Miss should be #1 if OU loses to Florida next week.
Here's why: Ol' Miss beat Florida, who beat OU, who beat Texas Tech, who beat Texas, who beat OU, who beat...ahhhhhh.
(We need a playoff system...)

Call me a cynical, grumpy old man, but where are the "men" in this brief article?
I'm all for fun on New Year's Eve, but Mom #1 took her two children to Primetime--where's dad? Mom #2 left her four children "somewhere" so she could "hit the club to have a good time" because "it's fun to be out on New Years Eve." Where's dad?
Maybe the husbands were left out of the article to save column space, or maybe there are none in these families' lives.
If so, it's a sad situation. Let the ARN blog beatings begin.

"Another reason, he said, is too few people are carrying their recyclables to the recycle center at 2209 Oak St. or the eight other round-the-clock recycle drop-off points around the city."
I agree with the above poster--more often than not, when I take cardboard boxes, etc. to the dropoff points, they're too full and I end up taking some or all of it back home--a big de-motivator.
In addition to the city's website listing the dropoff points, a schedule showing pickup days and times would be nice so we don't have to make multiple trips...

Two words Mr. Obama...Flat Tax. 10 Percent. You earned $10,000 this year? You pay $1,000. You earn 75,000, you pay 7,500. If Mark Texiera of the Yankees earns 18 million a year--he pays 1.8 million.
Simple. And fair. The US' coffers will love it.

Yo squid...tongue in cheek...but I do think AISD will be pushing for major press box improvements over the next couple of years after seeing Aledo's stadium...
