I am a 60 year old great grandmother with Tat's. My husband is in law enforcment and has Tat's.At walmart we get stares and often comments like I love your Tat's from young and old. One person who ask what my husband did for a living was blown away when he said I am a police officer. LOL He also is my Tattoo artist. We love our body art however, I get some sad looks and comments about my body aart at church such as "I bet you wish you hadn't done that before becomeing a Church member". I just smile and say I do not regret being a child of God my entire life. Hope this young man can do his life's dream with out to many judgeing him.

I would hope that Alamo ministries is not tax exempt. As a Christian no one should remove an individuals right to self choice. All are equal in God's eyes. No one youth or adult should be harmed in the name of God. I pray the folks are strong enough to remember the atonement of Jesus and that thier faith returns to them. Man is not in a place of judgement as to what God thinks of ones actions. Brainwashing and any other form of abuse is a sin according to the Bible. Tony Alamo will pay in Mans courts for some of the wrongs he has done, but his worst judgement will be in the highest court at the time of the great judgement before Christ. Prayers for all the followers and those lucky enough to get qway from this cult will be said daily.

I love the references to the songs in these post. Some of you are not listeners of ole Framptons tunes. To funny was good for a morning chuckle. Keep up these type of post's and maybe the ole sour cats( couldn't use the term usually used in this saying LOL) will get the jokes and smile for a change. I bet the thefts are done by fans who want to say "i stole this from Frampton" ie do you steal like I do LOL. Good story of a old rocker who wants some attention.

Dr-Dawggy you have stated the thoughts of every intelligent person who has followed this story. I know none of the people in this story, so I am only judging by thier actions. The lady or mother in this seems to continue to stir up unproven aspects to keep herself in the light. She causes more harm to her child than anyone else by doing this. Yes in the beginning folks chose sides and kids may have been horrible to the girl. But kids like most adults are to busy with thier own lives to stick to an old story once it dies down. As for the school and it's teachers and princpal they seem to be good at thier jobs and well meaning. As to the book I have read it and other books by the arthur. Most of his books would be proper for high school kids to read. That one maybe college age. The school does need to take responsibility in the fact that they approved the list and the book was on it. It is OK to admit to a mistake and then see that different policies are in place to prevent it happening again. Now for the Teacher. Poor judgement, youth, lack of morals who am I to say, I have a hard time just taking care of my own life and I can not judge him. As to the folks who decided that he should be made an example, remember what you throw out comes back ten fold on you. I have moved to this area in the past year and until this letter no one had even thought about this case. Now everyone is talking again and guess what the girl is again the butt of jokes mostly about her relationshaip to her mom. Sad that this women cares only for herself. I pray for this little girl daily and hope she can find forgiveness for her mom for doing this to her. It is a very sad case.

The article was not about anything other than the fact that Ms Palin caused the SBC to relook at thier policy on Women and justify thier vote for a Women for Office. I found it interesting that they compare apples and orange ie Home and Work only if the Husband grants his permission to the Women and Mr Palin has done so. Believe me we should be equal partners in life not subservent to one another in my belief, but to each his own. Thanks ARN good article for those of us who are not SB.

Most children are sexually abused by someone they know according to the national hotline on child abuse. Do we need to just lock up or put a sign on all men and women to stay away from kids? I agree the rules are good for parole and probationers on no candy giving or kid activities on Halloween. I just think it gives a false sense of security and we need to watch our kids around everyone. Sorry if I offend anyone but as a parent I feel it is my responsibility to provide safety for them not the communities.

Robertwp: For your information Mr. McCain has a disability from injuries as a prisoner of war that makes standing for long periods difficult. He is often thought rude for leaveing an area early, as he dislikes drawing attention to his need to sit after standing. Consider this would you have thought him rude, if he just sat down and didn't work the room? As to his not wanting to shake hands with obama. Did you notice McCain and his wife attempted to shake hands with Mrs Obama and she turned her back on them and shook her head? McCain and Obama had just finished shaking hands and Mrs.Mccain shook Mr Obama's hand when this happened. I am a democrate and even I can see that there is fault on both parties here. Open your eyes folks and vote your best interest. I will and hopefully the right person will win. As important as president is, you need to start researching the senate and house runners. They are the real wheels of this wagon and everyone seems to be ignoreing them. Good research to you all.

I found your original column rather offensive. However that is your opinion and I have my opinion. Maybe neither of us is completely right maybe one of us is. Having said that I must say Mrs Palin is a breath of fresh air. Yes she sounds folksey and stumbles in interviews. But her speechs show a depth of intelligence and interest in improving the government. Mr obama also gives great speeches, However when he is speaking from the cuff he stumbles and stutters. Never see you reporters commenting on him. Now is not a time to decide a race for the white house on personality. Sadly Mr. McCain is the one most likely to be able to keep America a country that is free. Mr. Obama has shown poor judgement in his choose of affiliations and the only bill he has sponsered and passed in the Senate has been for Africa not America. That in and of itself speaks volumes for where his loyalities are. You can find his record on the Senate site and he usually just votes present on all bills. Mr McCain also has voted for or against bills in oppositon to my likes, but at least he has an opinion and votes as he feels is right. We will always differ from the politicians but we need to vote for our country and what we feel is best for everyone. Have a nice day

This was great comic relief. However I for one would vote this lady in as president. It is nice to see an honest opinion from a politician. If I disagree with her that is OK at least I know where she stands. I feel she is a breath of fresh air in a very stale old boys club. I have been to Alaska and anyone who could chose to live there and raise a family there has to be strong and able to make decisions. I think America is in for an interesting time when the Republicans get in office in 2009. Change is hard but I think we need to make radical change and cut off the liberal free ride. No more free houseing, food or medical for Illegal aliens. More job incentives for those who need it most and lower education tuitions. More tech. training in high schools for those who do not want college. So yes Mrs. Palin is a great choose for V.P.. No socialist society for me.
