Texas CPS at its finest. This is how CPS operates on a daily basis, only this time it involves over 400 children at once. They think you are a child abuser from the moment they meet you and never stop thinking that you might possibly even if you haven't maybe someday could potentially abuse or neglect a child. That is enough for them to take your children and investigate you. Yes it can happen to you, don't think that it can't, because it can.

CPS at its best. CPS licenses the child placement agency, so CPS is, in the end, responsible. Although the CPS spokesperson makes it sound as though they aren't responsible. That is how CPS operates on a daily basis, lie and misconstrue information and evidence.

Why is the little girl in Waxahachie? Why do individuals in authority always believe everything CPS says? What does living in a "filthy house" have to do with child abuse? What law states what is filthy and what is not? Does anyone ever question CPS? And if anyone ever does question CPS how often is CPS truthful? Do they have to be truthful? What consequences does CPS face if CPS is not truthful?
Does your child have bruises? Is your house clean? Are you on medication? Should you be on medication? Do you have a job? Are you on disability? Do you spank your child? Better watch out, CPS is watching and waiting to investigate you.

If you've ever dealt with CPS you know that "beenthere" knows what they are talking about. CPS has everybody fooled into believing that they are looking out for the best interest of the children. Definitely, yes, there are abusive situations that need to be dealt with, but there are also numerous incidents where CPS does more harm than good. After a personal experience you realize it, but then it's too late. Don't belittle "beenthere" until you've actually been there yourself.

Unfortunately this is typical of any government entity, from local to federal. Now that the TCEQ is involved there's no telling what will happen next.
