Its a big problem in some of the smaller towns also. People get dogs, dont feed or wont take care of the, then get more & more or they breed & have more. Its the best thing to just shoot them instead of someone getting attacked or a "real" pet being attacked and killed or mange or disease outbreaks start. Shooting it way better then poisons cause NOT ALL the targeted animals can ingest that, others can too. And Im not a PETA lover either.
But they also need to find some way to catch & punish those idiot losers who cant manage to just take care of their animal & dump it.

What they need to worry about more is the fact that there is A LOT of inconsiderate people that are VERY able to just park somewhere else & walk YET get the first handicap spot they can. My dad is a disabled vet & its very hard for him to walk long distances. I have seen, on too many cases, where someone who is just plain LAZY get a spot. Wish there were more tickets for that. I have seen some teenage kid yakking on a cell phone fly right into a spot in front of an OLDER person & just walk away yakking on the phone, no even caring that it might be their feeble granny that needed the spot.
Besides improvements to the sidewalks & other area, parking & patrolling those violators are needed also. Apparently common courtesy doesnt run much out there anymore.

I have a new flat screen & get ONLY 2 out of the 4 Abilene stations. Why..the other 2 channels are not digital..yet(I think). 32 is good & clear on the new digital station but 15 is still fuzzy & when I do a channel search for the "supposed new" digital station...they arent there. Shouldnt these stations ALREADY have a good digital signal up & running?

Sounds like a grand idea to help out the zoo.
For "entertainment purposes"? You are making it out like its some circus. If it wasnt for zoos, certain species would be GONE permantly & it also helps educate children. In some cities some kids still think cows are from the zoo & milk or eggs comes from the store. If it wasnt for zoos, stupid people would have these animals for "pets" & the would be abused & malnurished. Zoos serve a GOOD purpose. Any PETA psycho that doesnt like that can have a MERRY CHRISTMAS.

The Brownwood paper has low standards & hardly reports anything.

Why oppose something that JUST MIGHT HELP the area & get them LESS dependant on foreign fuels.

YEAAA still 2 wks of meat season. Didnt fill both my buck tags, still had 1 but can use it for doe now. Still will get my freezer full.
Lack of moisture produced alot of broken horns & the deer have moved more & more for food & water but still a decent year.
Props to the hunters that DONT let the pigs walk..TOOO MANY of those destructive menaces.
