Nellie Doneva

Photographer

Nellie Doneva has been a staff photographer at the Abilene Reporter-News since 2001. Previously, she interned at Patuxent (MD) Publishing Company, the York (PA) Daily Record, and the Bozeman (Mont.) Daily Chronicle.

She has won several regional photo awards from the National Press Photographers Association. She graduated with a Master's Degree in Journalism from the University of Montana, Missoula, where she taught a beginning photojournalism class. She has also taught six-week classes for beginning and advanced photographers at the Chavez Activity Center in Abilene.

Doneva has been a hospice volunteer since 2004.
