Wi-Fi Detector shirt keeps you with a signal

Actually somewhat useful.

What I don't: Doesn't determine between open and closed hotspots.

What I recommend: Become the God of all Wi-Fi!

We live in a wireless world. Seems like everyone except the family pet has a wireless Internet device these days.

Oh, Sparky just got an iPod Touch? Good dog. Can I borrow that?

(One hand less later ...)

Guess not.

The problem with wireless Internet is finding it. Thankfully, we now have the Wi-Fi Detector shirt to show us the way.

For about $30 from Thinkgeek.com, you can own a shirt that lets you know you're in a Wi-Fi zone thanks to glowing bars on the front, which fluctuate with available signal strength.

Heck, there could be money in this. People could hire you to walk around and find Wi-Fi connections for them. There's no guarantee any will be public, but there is certainly a chance.

And your shirt will perhaps encourage people to talk to you, just to find out what it is. Real life interaction -- even better than grinding for massive loot in World of Warcraft.

The 100 percent cotton black t-shirt contains a concealed battery pack and runs for hours off three AAA batteries. The animated decal peels off for washing.
