Mead is an expert at dreaming up projects that combine the style of Martha Stewart with the ease of Rachael Ray.
His chalkboard pumpkins, for example, are an attractive, easy and fun alternative to carving (just spray pumpkins with black chalkboard paint, then draw on them with chalk).
Other ideas include weaving black fondant (a clay-like cake icing) into a web that can be draped over prepared pound cakes or cupcakes, simple ideas for decorating purchased cookies and plenty of craft ideas for adding ghoulish appeal to your home.
