Longhorns top Sooners

The University of Texas Longhorns handed the top-ranked Oklahoma Sooners their first defeat of 2008 with a 45-35 victory at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

The Longhorns won the Red River Shootout in a back-and-forth game in which the lead changed several times.

The fifth-ranked Longhorns improve to 6-0. Oklahoma falls to 5-1.
