A man's adult DVD collection--valued at $900-- was stolen from his home Monday in the 800 block of Chanticleers Lane.

Thieves made entry to his home by kicking in the front door. They took the man's adult DVD collection, his bedsheets, a flat-screen TV and a video camera among other items.

The total loss is approximately $10,000.

Other incident reports released Tuesday by the Abilene Police Department:

• Theft, 4200 block of Buffalo Gap Road, Sunday

A man attempted to steal four packages of steak from a local grocery store by concealing them under his shirt. He was detained and later arrested.

• Interference with an emergency phone call, 2100 block of Hardy Street, Monday

A woman reported that her live-in boyfriend ripped the phone from the wall while she was talking to a 9-1-1 operator. She told police the man had assaulted her but was unsure whether she wanted to press charges against him.

• Burglary, 2800 block of Russell Avenue, Monday

Sometime between Sunday and Monday, an unknown suspect possibly used a key to enter the victim's residence. Once inside, the suspect stole the woman's purse.

• Theft, 4400 block of North 1st Street, Monday

Three cartons of cigarettes were stolen from a convenience store by a male in his mid-30s.

• Criminal mischief, 400 block of North Jefferson Drive, Monday

A door was kicked in at a northside apartment. Damage was estimated at $250.

• Hindering arrest, 2900 block of Pine Street, Monday

A suspect allegedly lied to police about a friend's identity in order to prevent her arrest on outstanding warrants.
