Reunion: The Abilene High School Class of 1978 will hold its 30th reunion Friday and Saturday.
An icebreaker will be held Friday evening at the West cafeteria at AHS, and a tour of the AHS museum will be available.
The homecoming football game against Weatherford will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by a dinner at the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel at 5203 S. 1st St. The dinner will be catered by Sharon's Barbecue, and the cost will be $70 per couple.

DE LEON
Fundraiser: De Leon Elementary School recently launched the 2008-2009 Boxtops For Education fundraising campaign. The box tops, which can be collected from numerous participating products and sent to the school, are used to purchase items for the classroom.
Benefit account: A benefit account has been established at Comanche National Bank for the Barron triplets: Rylie, Reese and Ryan. They were born in February, eleven weeks early, and donations are needed to help with medical bills.
RULE
Food drive: The Rule 4-H Club will conduct its annual food drive at 5 p.m. Oct. 14 in Rule. They will be trick-or-treating for canned foods and nonperishable items to be donated to the Noah Project, a domestic abuse shelter.
