Habitat for Humanity, Abilene, began construction of its fourth home in the Minda Street Neighborhood recently. Volunteers from Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union began framing the three bedroom, one and a half bath house, according to a news release.
Future homeowner and Habitat partner Misti Mitchell also worked on the construction of her home, as part of the 300 hours of “sweat equity” labor that Habitat partner families are required to work as their contribution toward the cost of their home.
