Art show: Abilene photographer John English will be among 20 award-winning Texas artists and craftspeople exhibiting at the Texas Masters of Fine Art and Craft Invitational Exhibition May 23-25 at the Y.O. Ranch Resort Hotel, 2033 Sidney Baker (Highway 16) in Kerrville.

EASTLAND

Job fair: Valley View Healthcare, in cooperation with the Texas Workforce Center, will host a job fair 1-5 p.m. Tuesday at the Valley View Healthcare Center, 700 S. Ostrom in Eastland. Full-time, part-time and seasonal positions in health care, housekeeping and dietary will be available. On-the-job paid training is available for some positions. Rotary Club luncheon: The Hamlin Rotary Club will hold a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Hamlin High School cafetorium, 450 S.W. Avenue F. Tickets are $6. Meal includes turkey and dressing.

Run/Walk: The Hamlin Chamber of Commerce 5k Run/Walk "Runnin' the Buff" will start at 8 a.m. June 7 at Hamlin High School, 450 S.W. Avenue F. Prizes and door prizes will be awarded, and rest rooms and showers will be available. Registration is $15 if received by June 6, or $17 on race day. Rabies clinic: A rabies clinic will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ on Saturday. Vaccinations for various afflictions will be offered, including rattlesnake vaccinations for dogs. For information, call 537-2064.
