ABILENE
Art show: Abilene photographer John English will be among 20 award-winning Texas artists and craftspeople exhibiting at the Texas Masters of Fine Art and Craft Invitational Exhibition May 23-25 at the Y.O. Ranch Resort Hotel, 2033 Sidney Baker (Highway 16) in Kerrville.
The show will run from noon to 8 p.m. May 23, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 24 and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 25. Admission is free. For more information, go to www.texasmasters.com.
EASTLAND
Job fair: Valley View Healthcare, in cooperation with the Texas Workforce Center, will host a job fair 1-5 p.m. Tuesday at the Valley View Healthcare Center, 700 S. Ostrom in Eastland. Full-time, part-time and seasonal positions in health care, housekeeping and dietary will be available. On-the-job paid training is available for some positions. For information, call (254) 629-1779.
HAMLIN
Rotary Club luncheon: The Hamlin Rotary Club will hold a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Hamlin High School cafetorium, 450 S.W. Avenue F. Tickets are $6. Meal includes turkey and dressing.
Run/Walk: The Hamlin Chamber of Commerce 5k Run/Walk "Runnin' the Buff" will start at 8 a.m. June 7 at Hamlin High School, 450 S.W. Avenue F. Prizes and door prizes will be awarded, and rest rooms and showers will be available. Registration is $15 if received by June 6, or $17 on race day. Breakfast: The Hamlin Lion's Club will host a pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 to 9:30 a.m. June 7 at Hamlin High School, 450 S.W. Avenue F. Donations accepted, and proceeds benefit club projects.
HAWLEY
Rabies clinic: A rabies clinic will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ on Saturday. Vaccinations for various afflictions will be offered, including rattlesnake vaccinations for dogs. For information, call 537-2064.
STAMFORD
Brisket luncheon: The Stamford H.S. junior class will have a brisket luncheon from noon to 2:30 p.m. May 25 at the cafeteria. Tickets are $6 from junior class members or at the Stamford Star, 202 E. Hamilton.
