Abilene man indicted in fatal November crash
An Abilene man was indicted Thursday by a Taylor County grand jury on charges of intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault stemming from a November accident.
According to Reporter-News files, Andrew Lugo Jr., 21, was driving a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero in the 4300 block of South Clack Street on Nov. 1 at high rate of speed while approaching stopped cars at an intersection. The car spun out of control and struck a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria carrying two Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission agents.
Lugo's passenger, 20-year-old Rachelle Rueda, was killed instantly.
Lugo suffered minor injuries and was taken to Hendrick Medical Center for treatment. The TABC agents were not injured, according to Reporter-News files.
Intoxication manslaughter is a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. Intoxication assault is a third-degree felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.

The whiskey and if you are headed down the path of criticizing my username you might as well leave it alone...lol...there is a difference in drinking, drinking responsibly, and drinking and driving. I'll rephrase my earlier post, "Another "drunkdriver" will get what they deserve."
