Local student receives "Honors Admission" to University of Mary Washington.

Courtney Lucretia Jumper, of Abilene, has been selected by the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Va., for "Honors Admission" for Fall 2008. She is the daughter of Richard and Cynthia Jumper of Abilene. She graduated from Wylie High School in 2008.

Scholarship

Isabella Hunt, daughter of Jim and Rosa Hunt, received a $3,000 Compass Bancshares-DeWayne C. Cuthbertson Memorial Scholarship Award, which are presented annually to children of employees of Compass Bank or certain affiliates. Rosa Hunt is employed by Compass in Abilene.

Isabella Hunt is a political science student at West Texas A&M University in Canyon and a graduate of Wylie High School.
